Fresh AV Labs is the developer and product brand of Fresh Tech Integrated, an AVL integrator based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Where Fresh Tech is the services side, doing live production, houses of worship, and corporate AV, Fresh AV Labs is the product side: Q-SYS plugins, embedded hardware bridges, and developer tools for the broader Q-SYS programming community.

Every product on this site started as something we needed on a real install. The plugins solve protocol problems that should not be solved in Lua. The hardware bridges run the parts of a modern AV stack that benefit from a dedicated, fanless box. The features are the ones we wished existed.

Open source from the lab

Some of the work we do is publicly available. QDP Discovery is a Q-SYS Discovery Protocol scanner we wrote, MIT-licensed, and put on GitHub for anyone who needs to enumerate Q-SYS devices on a subnet without dragging out Designer. If you find it useful, fork it.
